What this website collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is short because the site does very little.

Who we are
LongiSoft LLC is a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, United States, with an office in Tbilisi, Georgia. We publish longisoft.com and we decide what happens to the personal data described below, which makes us the controller of it. Write to hello@longisoft.com about anything on this page.
What this policy covers
The website longisoft.com and email sent to hello@longisoft.com. It does not cover other websites we link to, and it does not cover work we do inside a client's own systems, which is governed by the agreement with that client.
What the site collects
Server logs. The web server records every request it answers: your IP address, your browser user agent, the URL you asked for, the referring page, and a timestamp. Logs rotate daily and are deleted after 14 days. We use them to keep the site running and to look into errors and abuse.
Analytics, only if you say yes. If you accept analytics in the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager. It records which pages you read, roughly which country or region you are in, and what kind of device and browser you use, and it sets cookies so that a second visit is recognised as the same visitor rather than a new one. If you do not accept, no analytics script is loaded, no request goes to Google, and no analytics cookie is set. Google's handling of this data is covered by the Google privacy policy. Every cookie is listed in our cookie policy.
Email. If you write to hello@longisoft.com we receive your address, your message, and anything you attach. Our mail is handled by Google Workspace.
Nothing else. The site has no accounts, no sign-up, no contact form, no comments, and no payments. We do not build profiles of visitors, we run no advertising tags, and we do not sell personal data.
Why we are allowed to do it
- Server logs: our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website and in diagnosing faults.
- Analytics: your consent, given in the cookie banner, and withdrawable at any moment.
- Email: our legitimate interest in answering the message you chose to send, and, where the exchange turns into work, the steps taken before a contract.
Who else sees it
- Amazon Web Services hosts the server, in the us-east-1 region in the United States.
- Google runs Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager, and sees analytics data only if you accept analytics.
- Google Workspace carries email sent to hello@longisoft.com.
Nobody else. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
Where the data goes
The server is in the United States, so every visit reaches a machine there, wherever in the world you are. Google processes analytics and email data in the United States and in the other countries where it operates. If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or Georgia, that is a transfer out of your own country, and we rely on the data processing terms published by Amazon Web Services and by Google to cover it.
How long we keep it
- Server logs: 14 days, then deleted.
- Your consent choice: 6 months, in a cookie on your own device.
- Google Analytics cookies: up to 13 months, on your own device. The analytics data Google holds follows the retention period set on the property.
- Email: as long as the conversation and our business records need it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you (access), correct it (rectification), delete it (erasure), limit what we do with it (restriction), or hand it over in a portable form (portability). You can also object to processing we base on legitimate interest.
You can withdraw your consent to analytics at any time, with no penalty and no loss of access, through the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent does not undo the analytics collected while it was granted.
Write to hello@longisoft.com and we will answer. If our answer does not satisfy you, you can complain to a supervisory authority: in the European Union, the authority where you live or work; in the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner's Office; in Georgia, the Personal Data Protection Service.
The law we work to
Where they apply to you, we follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the UK GDPR. We also follow the Law of Georgia on Personal Data Protection, and the United States state privacy laws that apply to us.
Cookies
The site sets one cookie of its own, to remember your choice, and Google Analytics cookies only after you accept analytics. Each one is named and explained in the cookie policy.

Our footer links to our profiles on GitHub, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, and Bluesky. Those services are not ours. Once you follow a link, that service's own privacy policy applies, not this one.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the dates at the top of the page change with it. This is version one.
